Seeking A Full Time Automotive Paint Position.
Seeking a full time position in a quality minded shop. I have training in both solvent and waterborne paint systems along with extensive hands on experience. Able to meet deadlines and produce a quality product always. Experience in various types of shops from used car and collision shops to high end concept and custom build shops. I use top of the line equipment such as Iwata, Sata, Devilbiss, Snap On, Matco and Mac tools. I have knowledge of most paint systems and stay current on new products that will boost production and/or quality with a willingness to learn everyday . Experience with waterborne PPG Envirobase waterborne, Axalta chromabase solvent base. PPG DBC. Excellent color matching ability with both solvent based and waterborne base coatings.
Qualifications:
- Deep knowledge of types of auto body paint and finishing
- Excellent ability to match and coordinate colors
Mechanical abilities it takes to run paint sprayers and other machines
- Special attention to detail
- Ability to perform the job independently or instruct and lead others
- Good communication skills with customers and coworkers
- Years of experience in collision and custom paint

- Work with customers and coworkers to better understand their concerns and desires while explaining the process to them
- Prepare vehicle for painting process by cleaning, filling in small dents and dings.
- Tape and cover all parts of the car not being painted
- Apply paint to car using sprayer or brushes as needed
- Apply primer to restore panel for paint.
- Inventory / order supplies and materials needed to complete auto body painting jobs
- Assisted with collision repair when necessary
- Mixed and color matched paints according to customer specifications
- Performed auto body painting using sprayers with all types and finishes of paint
- Cleaned, maintained, and inventoried body shop supplies .
